These pieces are celebrating our son Finn's first year of modeling for dumb drawings. The digital piece I had some fun with silly lighting effects that I wouldn't usually use. I guess the mood I was going for is "ominous whimsy."
The colored pencil piece kind of followed because I didn't have anything else in mind, and I wanted to play with some mixed media combinations. I like how the matte finish of the gouache turned out, I'd consider the experiment a success.
